Ori Kam Wins 2010 S&R Washington Award, Grand Prize.

S&R Foundation is a non-profit organization founded in Washington, D.C. by Dr. Sachiko Kuno and Dr. Ryuji Ueno in 2000 to encourage and stimulate scientific research and artistic endeavors among young individuals.

The main goal of the foundation is to recognize talented young scientists and artists for their distinguished work in fields of science and fine arts, especially those who contribute to U.S. - Japanese understanding.

The Jerusalem Quartet Welcomes Ori Kam as it's New Violist.

The Jerusalem Quartet is delighted to announce the appointment of Ori Kam as the new violist of the ensemble. He joins as a permanent member replacing former violist Amihai Grosz who has taken up the principal viola position at the Berliner Philharmoniker. Having performed concerts with Ori Kam both in the US and Europe last autumn the Jerusalem Quartet is delighted to welcome him to the group.

On September 11th, Ori will perform alongside Daniel Barenboim in Jerusalem's YMCA. On the program, Schumann Piano Quartet, and Boulez's Derive 2.

"The Romantic Clarinet" is released"

In April of 2007, Ori Travelled to Warsaw to record the Bruch concerto for Viola and Clarinet with his sister, Sharon, his brother-in-law Gregor Buehl, and Sinfonia Varsovia. The CD was released in Europe in October 2007, and in the US in early 2008.
